Chocolate and salted caramel biscuits

Makes 20 biscuits

 

We’ve combined crowd-pleasing salted caramel and chocolate to create the perfect sweet and salty treat.

 

150g butter

200g brown sugar

100g caster sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla

3 eggs

270g self raising flour

350g dark chocolate chips

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Caramel sauce and sea salt flakes, to serve

 

Using a Smeg hand mixer with the flat beaters attached, cream butter, sugars and vanilla in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs; mix well. Add flour, chocolate chips and salt and mix until just combined.  Refrigerate until firm.

Set oven to fan forced and preheat to 180°C.

Roll tablespoons of mixture into balls, place on a lined baking tray and bake for 12 minutes until just set.

Cool on a wire rack. Drizzle with caramel sauce, sprinkle with sea salt flakes and serve to the ones you love.
