Joel started cooking when he was 15-years-old at Pier Restaurant in Rose Bay. Joel worked for Jeremy Strode for 4 years at Bistro CBD and The Fish Shop, as well as Gastro Park, Three Blue Ducks and AIR Myoko boutique hotel in Japan. Joel is now the Head Chef at Peppe's Bondi, a gnocchi bar famous for its all-vegan menu.
